ABSTRACT The role of project management and project management training in Vietnam In recent years, project management has met the growing demand of customers following the general trend of the world. Therefore, managing successful projects in resource-limited conditions have been concerned with the managers and the scientists. Besides, universities and educational institutions have also organized training on project management. This study investigates the role of project management and project management training. The study is conducted by the qualitative method with the secondary data and descriptive statistics. The research results illustrate the overall concept of project management and the role of project management and project management training in Vietnam.

Towards a Social Realist Framework for Analyzing Academic Advising in Global South Contexts2024 •
Academic advising is a proven high-impact practice, shown to have the potential to help increase students' prospects of academic success, increase their sense of belonging and integration at their institution of higher learning, and provide unique insights into the lived realities and experiences of higher education students. For this reason, advising can be seen as a transformative activity within the student support space in South African higher education institutions. As a practice and profession, advising has existed in the Global North (GN) for decades. However, in South Africa-a developing country in the Global South (GS)-academic advising remains a nascent field. Consequently, the overarching ideas that inform academic advising in the South African context (both theoretically and practically), tend to be drawn predominantly from the GN and more developed countries. The unchallenged acceptance and tacit dominance of theoretical perspectives and practices from these countries can be considered problematic. This is largely due to differences in the socioeconomic, cultural, and historical contexts of students attending university in GS countries like South Africa. This paper works towards developing a conceptual framework, informed by social realism, for analysing academic advising in GS contexts. It is the anticipated value of a GS framework for analysing the emergence of academic advising in South African and similar contexts that is the core contribution of the paper.

Design of a Small Modified Minkowski Fractal Antenna for Passive Deep Brain Stimulation Implants2014 •
A small planar modified Minkowski fractal antenna is designed and simulated in dual frequency bands (2.4 and 5.8 GHz) for wireless energy harvesting by deep brain stimulation (DBS) devices. The designed antenna, physically being confined inside a miniaturized structure, can efficiently convert the wireless signals in dual ISM frequency bands to the energy source to recharge the DBS battery or power the pulse generator directly. The performance metrics such as the return loss, the specific absorption rate (SAR), and the radiation pattern within skin and muscle-fat-skin tissues are evaluated for the designed antenna. The gain of the proposed antenna is 3.2 dBi at 2.4 GHz and 4.7 dBi at 5.8 GHz; also the averaged SAR of the antenna in human body tissue is found to be well below the legally allowed limit at both frequency bands. The link budget shows the received power at the distance of 25 cm at 2.4 GHz and 5.8 GHz are around 0.4 mW and 0.04 mW, which can empower the DBS implant. The l...

Since decades ago numbers of new religious movements or new Christian denominations have increasingly emerged in Indonesia. The emergence of them has resulted in tension with some mainstream religious communities. They are seen as religious setcs and social deviation. Therefore sometimes they are in jeopardy. Government and society can not accept them as recognized religions. In East Nusa Tenggara Province there have been more than forty Christian denominations living together. One of these is Metro Seventh-Day Adventis Church. The denomination has emerged since 2006 affected by the problem of leadership and management among the Seventh-Day Adventis Church leaders in Kupang. This problem resulted in a conflict between church leaders in Kupang and ordinary peoples in Amarasi. The conflict provocated some Seventh-Day Adventis congregations in Amarasi to declared a new religious institution, called Metro SeventhDay Adventis Church (Gereja Adven Hah ketujuh Metro) This article shows tha...
