An indirect effect of COVID-19 pandemic: Increased pediatric perforated appendicitis rate due to delayed admission2021 •
Objective: Appendicitis is a common surgical emergency among children. The coronavirus pandemic affected the system of hospitals more than any other field, and great amount of people were concerned about visiting the hospitals for any reason. In this study, it was aimed to evaluate the profile of appendicitis by emphasizing perforated and acute appendicitis in the pandemic period and to compare the rates with previous three years. Material and Methods: Charts of the children who underwent laparoscopic appendectomy due to appendicitis between March 11-September 30 between 2017-2020 were retrospectively analyzed in terms of demographic data, duration of symptoms, duration between hospital admission and surgery, radiologic imaging and perioperative outcomes. Results: This study includes 467 children who underwent laparoscopic appendectomy. There were 97 procedures in 2020, 111 in 2019, 146 in 2018 and 113 in 2017. Multiple comparison tests revealed that age did not show difference; but...

This research stems from the low learning activities of students in joining fiqh learning and the low cognitive learning outcomes of students in fiqh subjects. The purpose of this study was to determine the increase in activity and cognitive learning outcomes of students in the class V Fiqh subject. The quantitative approach used in this study, with the Quashi experiment method nonequivalent control group (comparison group / pretest posttest) design. Data collection tools used in this study were observation and tests. Based on the results of research conducted in class V Islamic of elementary school Al-Adzkar and Sabilil Huda in Padalarang sub-district, it shows that the application of the team game tournament model with quartet card media can increase the learning activities of students with an average increase of 76%. Likewise, the cognitive learning outcomes of students experienced a significant increase, at MI Al-Adzkar the average learning outcomes increased to 75.8 from 33.8,...

Exofocal changes in experimental focal cerebral ischemia: an experimental approach and its clinical correlation1969 •
Introduction: The brain is an extraordinarily dynamic structure specially its physiology in response to pathological events. This response include several mechanisms such as changes in cell metabolism, genes expression and possible modifications in cell phenotype and in connectivity that reflect activation of processes like neurogenesis, neuritogenesis and synaptogenesis. Several aspects related with neuroplasticity has been proposed as part of the pathophysiological bases to understand brain ischemia and its exofocal phenomena. Progress in understanding of the pathophysiology of brain lesion has required the use of experimental models to evaluate cellular events that occur immediately after the lesion or later, to associate this changes with clinical observations and to propose pharmacological neuroprotection therapies. Objective: The purpose of the present work is to compile the advances in understanding of plasticity after brain lesion, mainly related with exofocal areas to a cor...

Salinity stress deleteriously affects the growth and yield of many plants. Plant growth promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR) and chitosan both play an important role in combating salinity stress and improving plant growth under adverse environmental conditions. The present study aimed to evaluate the impacts of PGPR and chitosan on the growth of sweet pepper plant grown under different salinity regimes. For this purpose, two pot experiments were conducted in 2019 and 2020 to evaluate the role of PGPR (Bacillus thuringiensis MH161336 106–8 CFU/cm3) applied as seed treatment and foliar application of chitosan (30 mg dm−3) on sweet pepper plants (cv. Yolo Wonder) under two salinity concentrations (34 and 68 mM). Our findings revealed that, the chlorophyll fluorescence parameter (Fv/Fm ratio), chlorophyll a and b concentrations, relative water content (RWC), and fruit yield characters were negatively affected and significantly reduced under salinity conditions. The higher concentration was mo...

Faktor-Faktor Yang Memengaruhi Struktur Modal Pada Perusahaan Properti Dan Real Estate DI Indonesia2017 •
This research aims to analyze the factors affecting capital structure of property and real estate companies in Indonesia. The dependent variable used was DER, while the independent variable included profitability, growth opportunity, tangibility, size, dividend, liquidity, and business risk. The samples taken were the companies listed on the property and real estate sector of Indonesia Stock Exchange which were selected using purposive sampling. Among 47 companies listed on the property and real estate sector in the population, 8 companies were listed after January 2010, 1 company was delisting, and 1 company shifted to other sector. Hence, the samples used in this research were only 37 companies. The method used was linear regression. The result showed that profitability negatively influences capital structure; size and business risk have significant positive influence to the capital structure. On the other hand, growth opportunity, dividend, and liquidity do not have any significa...
