The present study explores students’ perception regarding internet usage and its impact on their academic performance at elementary level in district Peshawar, KP. The study was quantitative in nature. The population includes both (male and female) elementary schools of district Peshawar, KP. Purposive sampling technique was used. The data was collected from (141) students through close-ended questionnaire based on five point Likert’s scale. The collected data was tabulated and analyzed by using MS word, SPSS software and Chi-square. The major conclusions show that both male and female students were having same views about using internet and agree that using internet makes their study more convenient, useful and improve their learning skills. It helps in improving their grades. The study concludes that while using internet, the students are also facing some problems such as shortage of power, affects eyesight and critical thinking and pain in shoulders etc. Some recommendations made...

The Exodus of Ethiopian Refugees in Sudan: A Study of the Roles and Responsibilities of Host CountriesThe Government of Sudan hastened to handle refugees when a mass influx of Tigrayan refugees swarmed the Ethiopian-Sudanese border in late 2020. Political rivalry between the TPLF (Tigray People’s Liberation Front) and the coalition led by Ethiopian PM Abiy Ahmed's newly formed political coalition Prosperity Party/Paartii Badhaadhiina reached an all-time high when Federal Government decided to halt the financial aid planned for Tigray and formally reject regional election results held by Tigray earlier in September 2020; PM Abiy Ahmed condemned it as an illegal election carried out without Federal Government’s approval. In countermeasure, TPLF stormed the Ethiopian Defense Force regional base headquartered in Tigray capital, Mekelle, An action that provoked PM Abiy Ahmed's intentions to crush the TPLF once and for all. The military coalition consisted of Ethiopian Defense Force, Amhara Milita the Liyu Hayl, and Eritrean forces attacked Tigray from two consecutive fronts, forc...
I. Pozzoni, Fondamenta instabili l’urgenza della battaglia aeriforme di ogni nuova «neon»-avanguardia in I.Pozzoni (a cura di), Fondamenta instabili. Antologia Poetica, Gaeta, deComporre Edizioni, 2014, ISBN 978-8898671250, 5-9.

Cell-Specific α-Tubulin Isotype Regulates Ciliary Microtubule Ultrastructure, Intraflagellar Transport, and Extracellular Vesicle Biology2017 •
Cilia are found on most non-dividing cells in the human body and, when faulty, cause a wide range of pathologies called ciliopathies. Ciliary specialization in form and function is observed throughout the animal kingdom, yet mechanisms generating ciliary diversity are poorly understood. The "tubulin code"-a combination of tubulin isotypes and tubulin post-translational modifications-can generate microtubule diversity. Using C. elegans, we show that α-tubulin isotype TBA-6 sculpts 18 A- and B-tubule singlets from nine ciliary A-B doublet microtubules in cephalic male (CEM) neurons. In CEM cilia, tba-6 regulates velocities and cargoes of intraflagellar transport (IFT) kinesin-2 motors kinesin-II and OSM-3/KIF17 without affecting kinesin-3 KLP-6 motility. In addition to their unique ultrastructure and accessory kinesin-3 motor, CEM cilia are specialized to produce extracellular vesicles. tba-6 also influences several aspects of extracellular vesicle biology, including cargo s...

Improving Risk Stratification of Early Oral Tongue Cancer with TNM-Immune (TNM-I) Staging System2021 •
Although patients with early-stage oral tongue squamous cell carcinoma (OTSCC) show better survival than those with advanced disease, there is still a number of early-stage cases who will suffer from recurrence, cancer-related mortality and worse overall survival. Incorporation of an immune descriptive factor in the staging system can aid in improving risk assessment of early OTSCC. A total of 290 cases of early-stage OTSCC re-classified according to the American Joint Committee on Cancer (AJCC 8) staging were included in this study. Scores of tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes (TILs) were divided as low or high and incorporated in TNM AJCC 8 to form our proposed TNM-Immune system. Using AJCC 8, there were no significant differences in survival between T1 and T2 tumors (p > 0.05). Our proposed TNM-Immune staging system allowed for significant discrimination in risk between tumors of T1N0M0-Immune vs. T2N0M0-Immune. The latter associated with a worse overall survival with hazard ratio...
