Cathalyst 4006 có 2 port Gigabit Ehthernet và một băng thông 32-Gbps full-duplex cung cấp nối kết giữa supervisor engine và switch module. Những port Gigabit Ethernet có thể gắn được bất kì loại shortwave (SX), longwave/long-haul(LX/LH) hay extended range (ZX) GBIC. Catalyst 4006 cấu hình chuẩn có 6 slot có khả năng hot-swap. Slot 1 được phục vụ cho suppervisor engine để cung cấp khả năng switching và khả năng quản lý. Slot 2 đến slot 6 dùng cho các switching module khác...

Hình 1-1: Catalyst 4006 switch. Cathalyst 4006 coù 2 port Gigabit Ehthernet vaø moät baêng thoâng 32-Gbps full-duplex cung caáp noái keát giöõa supervisor engine vaø switch module. Nhöõng port Gigabit Ethernet coù theå gaén ñöôïc baát kì loaïi shortwave (SX), longwave/long-haul(LX/LH) hay extended range (ZX) GBIC. Catalyst 4003 and 4006 switches cho pheùp baïn gôõ boû hay thay theá switching module maø khoâng caàn taét coâng taét cuûa switch. Supervisor engine söû duïng moät ñaàu noái RJ-45 treân maët tröôùc cuûa panel vôùi moät LED chæ traïng thaùi cho port naøy. Caùc dòch vuï quaûn lyù döïa treân TCP/IP (Telnet vaø SNMP) cuõng ñöôïc cung caáp thoâng qua port naøy.. Management port cuõng hoã trôï download caùc file image. Chuù yù 10/100BaseT Ethernet management port chæ ñöôïc duøng cho quaûn lyù maïng (network management). Nhöõng port naøy khoâng hoã trôï network switching. • Console Port The console port cho pheùp baïn thöïc hieän nhöõng chöùc naêng sau : − Caáu hình switch töø CLI − Quaûn lyù traïng thaùi vaø loãi treân maïng − Caáu hình nhöõng tham soá cho SNMP − Download software update cho switch hoaëc phaân boå caùc file image trong Flash memory cho caùc thieát bò khaùc. The GBIC laø moät thieát bò hot-swap ñöôïc caém vaøo Gigabit Ethernet port, lieân keát vôùi port baèng fiber-optic network. Noái töø moät terminal ñeán console port cuûa supervisor cho pheùp baïn truy caäp ñeán switch thoâng qua CLI tröôùc khi switch ñöôïc caáu hình vaø keát noái vaøo maïng. Cheá ñoä privilege phaûi ñöôïc thieát laäp ñeå thi haønh nhöõng nhieäm vuï caàn thieát. Goõ leänh enable ñeå vaøo cheá ñoä privileged. Ñeå keát noát ñeán switch thoâng qua console port vaø vaøo cheá ñoä privilege, thöïc hieän nhöõng böôùc sau: Task Command Step 1 Phaûi chaéc chaén terminal keát noái ñeán console port coù caáu hình laø : 9600 baud, 8 - data bits, no parity, 1 stop bit. Step 2 Baät coâng taét cuûa switch. Maøn hình terminal seõ xuaát hieän caùc doøng thoâng baùo töø - boot script cuûa switch. Step 3 ÔÛ doøng yeâu caàu Enter Password, nhaán Return. - Step 4 Vaøo cheá ñoä privileged. enable Step 5 ÔÛ doøng yeâu caàu Enter Password, nhaán Return. - 3.1.2 Tìm hieåu nhöõng coång giao tieáp Switch Management Hoï Catalyst 5000 vaø 2926G series switches coù 02 coång giao tieáp IP management, coång in-band (sc0) vaø coång SLIP (sl0). Hoï Catalyst 4000, 2948G switch, vaø Catalyst 2980G switch coù theâm moät coång giao tieáp: coång giao tieáp management Ethernet (me1). Coång giao tieáp management in-band (sc0) keát noái ñeán switching fabric, do ñoù coù moïi chöùc naêng cuûa moät port thoâng thöôøng, nhö laø spanning tree, Cisco Discovery Protocol (CDP), VLAN. Coång giao tieáp management out-of-band (me1 and sl0) khoâng keát noái ñeán switching fabric vaø khoâng coù nhöõng chöùc naêng naøy. Sau khi caáu hình IP address, subnet mask, vaø ñòa chæ broadcast cuûa coång sc0 hay me1 (ñoái vôùi coång sc0 thì coù theâm soá Id VLAN), baïn coù theå truy caäp switch baèng Telnet hoaëc SNMP. 3.1.3 Xaùc ñònh caáu hình IP address cuûa Switch Tröôùc khi coù theå Telnet ñeán switch, caàn phaûi: • Ñònh moät IP address, moät subnet mask, vaø soá Id cho VLAN treân coång in-band (sc0) • Caáu hình moät hoaëc nhieàu default gateways Laàn ñaàu tieân caáu hình switch, coång in-band (sc0) ñöôïc xaùc ñònh VLAN maëc ñònh laø VLAN 1. Sau khi caáu hình VLAN, phaûi xaùc ñònh coång cho VLAN. Phaûi chaéc chaén ñòa chæ IP döïa vaøo IP subnet vaø coù lieân quan vôùi VLAN ñoù, vaø xaùc ñònh moät gateway thích hôïp cho subnet. FastEtherChannel vaø GigabitEtherChannel laø tính naêng cuûa caùc thieát bò maïng cuûa Cisco , thöôøng ñöôïc goïi taét laø EtherChannel, cung caáp khaû naêng taïo caùc lieân keát toác ñoä cao giöõa caùc thieát bò baèng caùch keát hôïp nhieàu lieân keát laïi thaønh moät lieân keát duy nhaát coù toác doä baèng toång toác ñoä cuûa caùc lieân keát taïo thaønh. Coù theå söû duïng leänh show port capabilities ñeå xaùc ñònh xem hardware coù hoã trôï cho Etherchannel hay khoâng. Caùc hardware sau hoã trôï cho Etherchannel: Haàu heát Catalyst 5000 family module, Switch 2926G moãi nhoùm EtherChannel port phaûi bao goàm 02 hay 04 port keà nhau treân cuøng moät module. Caùc port trong EtherChannel phaûi thuoäc cuøng moät Port Group (port söû duïng chung moät EtherChannel controller). Tuøy thuoäc vaøo hardware maø coù theå coù caùc ñieàu kieän khaùc nhau. Ví duï nhö trong moät soá module, baïn khoâng theå taïo moät EtherChannel vôùi 2 port sau cuøng cuûa port group neáu hai port ñaàu tieân chöa taïo EtherChannel. Ñoái vôùi Catalyst 4000 switch, Catalyst 2948G switch, vaø Catalyst 2980G switch moät EtherChannel coù theå bao goàm töø hai ñeán taùm port baát kyø. Caùc port trong EtherChannel khoâng nhaát thieát phaûi lieân tuïc nhau vaø khoâng nhaát thieát phaûi treân cuøng moät module. 3.4.3 Caùc ghi chuù khi caáu hình EtherChannel Neáu caáu hình sai, moät soá port trong EtherChannel seõ töï ñoäng bò disable ñeå traùnh tình traïng laëp treân maïng vaø caùc söï coá khaùc. Neâu theo caùc ghi chuù sau ñaây ñeå traùnh vieäc caáu hình sai: • Gaùn taát caû caùc port trong EtherChannel vaøo cuøng moät VLAN hay caáu hình noù nhö moät trunk.
