Mobile phone markets are one of the most turbulent market environments today due to increased competition and change. Thus, it is of mobile phone users choices between different mobile phone brands. This study aims to address the question by analyzing bra nd is preferred most by mobile phone users in Chidambaram town while purchasing mobile phones and status and impact of the technical, economical, social and personal criterion by mobile phone users in Chidambaram town to take the decision for choosing and purchasing the branded mobile product further the current satisfaction level on the particular brand owned. To achieve this purpose total sample consists of 250 respondents. The respondents have been selected from mobile recharge centers, mobile phone sho ps and public places in Chidambaram town. The statistical techniques considered are the entire collected data were analysed by using simple percentage analysis and by chi -square test. The research conclusion from the present stu...

ABSTRACTAdmixed populations are a resource to study the global genetic architecture of complex phenotypes, which is critical, considering that non-European populations are severely under-represented in genomic studies. Leveraging admixture in Brazilians, whose chromosomes are mosaics of fragments of Native American, European and African origins, we used genome-wide data to perform admixture mapping/fine-mapping of Body Mass Index (BMI) in three population-based cohorts from Northeast (Salvador), Southeast (Bambuí) and South (Pelotas) of the country. We found significant associations with African-associated alleles in children from Salvador (PALD1 and ZMIZ1 genes), and in young adults from Pelotas (NOD2 and MTUS2 genes). More importantly, in Pelotas, rs114066381, mapped in a potential regulatory region, is significantly associated only in females (p= 2.76 e-06). This variant is very rare in Europeans but with frequencies of ~3% in West Africa, and has a strong female-specific effect ...

Intelligent Tutoring Systems (ITS) have been subject of an effort of standardization in different aspects. Among these are the actors of the learning process. We are particularly interested in modeling the learner in order to better adapt their learning to today’s ITS. A number of architectures of the learner model (LM) have been proposed from different points of view. However, few works have integrated the aspect of competency. In this work, we propose a learner model based on the ontology of the competency-based approach (CBA) comprising two main specifications, a learner-competency centered model and a dynamic model that adapts to different learning contexts.

The prevalence of sexual activity, and sexual dysfunction and behaviours in postmenopausal woman in Poland2016 •
Despite the aging of the population, there is limited data available about sexual life and behaviours among of postmenopausal and late postmenopausal women. Aim of the study was to assess the prevalence of sexual dysfunction, behaviours, and preferences in the Polish population in 2015. This observational survey study involved 538 women, of whom 220 were over 50 years old. The main focus was on the differences and changes between older age groups, mainly 50-59 years and over 60 years. For 80.9% of the women above 50 years old, sex played at least a moderately important role in life. Sex was definitely important and very important for 40.45% of them. Most women over 50 years old (65.5%) were sexually active. Regardless of age, the respondents were more likely to have sexual intercourse several times a month. Less than half of the women over 50 years old (42.7%) realised their sexual fantasies. Women in the group of 50-59 years old statistically less often than younger women declared ...
RNA silencing in the zygomycete Mucor circinelloides exhibits uncommon features, such as induction by self-replicative sense transgenes and the accumulation of two size classes of antisense small interfering RNAs (siRNAs). To investigate whether this silencing phenomenon follows the rules of a canonical RNA-silencing mechanism, we used hairpin RNA (hpRNA)-producing constructs as silencing triggers and analyzed the efficiency and stability of silencing in different genetic backgrounds. We show here that the dsRNA-induced silencing mechanism is also associated with the accumulation of two sizes of antisense siRNAs and that this mechanism is not mediated by the previously known dcl-1 ( dicer -like) gene, which implies the existence of an additional dicer gene. An M. circinelloides dcl-2 gene was cloned and characterized, and the corresponding null mutant was generated by gene replacement. This mutant is severely impaired in the silencing mechanism induced by self-replicative sense or i...

Policy Implementation on Guidelines for New Habits Adaptation Lampung Province: Survey on Student Groups2022 •
Various efforts have been made by the government and implemented into the community to overcome the impact of the pandemic, one of which is Lampung Governor Regulation Number 45 of 2020 concerning Guidelines for New Habits Adaptation Towards a Productive and Safe Society for Corona Virus Disease 2019 (Covid-19) in Lampung Province. Analysis of the implementation of this policy is needed to generate input on the ability to implement the policy. An essential group to be involved in assessing the policy are students. The research was conducted through an open survey made with a google form and disseminated to students in Lampung Province. The questionnaire was distributed between April 5 and May 5, 2021, and distributed through social media and online networks concerned with handling the pandemic in Lampung Province. Questionnaires were distributed to members of the five social media accounts and online networks with a snowball. The data obtained from the google form is recapitulated a...
