A survey on surface morphology control of cross-linked poly(N-vinylpyrrolidone) polymer particle via inverse suspension polymerization

tailieu.vn

The cross-linked poly(NVP) particles possessing varying surface morphologies were fabricated by changing the reaction parameters such as the concentration of the cross-linker, the volume of the continuous phase, the agitation rate as well as the reaction temperature. The obtained results obviously depicted that these parameters played a significant role in the controlling the surface morphology of the particles.

tailieu.vn

Key words: Nickel, electrodeposition, microstructure, morphology, current density. A nickel sheet (50 cm 2 ) of 99.99% high purity contained in a polypropylene anode bag was used as a soluble anode, and the exposed surface of the substrate was fixed at 2cm 2 . Cyclic voltammetry was performed to determine the electrochemical reactions occurring on the surface of the substrate. The surface morphology of the deposits was studied by scanning electron microscopy using a SEM-FEG Quanta Philips 200F.

Q-switched pulsed laser direct writing of aluminum surface micro/ nanostructure for triboelectric performance enhancement

tailieu.vn

Ignoring the impact of evaporation, the melting phase has a great in fl uence on the Al surface morphology.. Each individual laser pulse destructs the Al surface by creating a. The melted components will jam together on both sides of the trenches and form the hierarchy of the nanostructure at the surface of Al. Therefore, the parameters of the laser controlled holes play the key role in forming the Al surface morphology.

Wrinkled surface on helical cell wall thickening of vessel elements in flower style

tailieu.vn

In the present study, we discovered a unique wrinkle surface morphology on helical cell wall thickenings. Cell wall thickening is the most important character of botanical vessel cells. Cell wall thickening in different tissues shows varied surface morphology, such as parallel cellulose fibrils in Zinnia elegans leaves (Lacayo et al., 2010) and cellulose lamellas in wheat straw stems (Yu et al., 2005). However, there are still undiscovered surface morphologies of cell wall thickenings.

The experimental results indicated that the modified membrane surface morphology has been changed with the lower surface roughness and the reduced skin pore size due to the polymeric AA-grated layer formed on the membrane surface.

Effect of Mg doping on morphology, photocatalytic activity and related biological properties of Zn1−xMgxO nanoparticles

tailieu.vn

The reenhancement in the antibacterial activity of Zn 0.90 Mg 0.10 O may not be due to the variation in particle size or surface morphology according to SEM-EDX analysis, since our SEM results showed no change in the morphology of nanoparticles. ICP-OES results also proved that ZnO and Mg doped ZnO nanoparticles were quite stable. XRD results indicated a detectable peak corresponded to MgO phase in Zn 0.70 Mg 0.30 O sample..

Oxygen-containing functional groups, characterized by electron spectroscopy for chemical analysis (ESCA), were used to roughly estimate hydrophilic capability of the grafted surface. Surface morphology of the grafted surface was observed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Influence of the grafted functional groups and surface morphology upon surface hydrophilicity will be discussed.. Besides, there are — CH 2 — CH 2.

Surface modification of polyvinyl chloride by polyacrylic acid graft as a polyelectrolyte membrane using Ar plasma

The smooth surface morphology and glossy structure of the PVC-g-AA membrane (Figure 5) reveal homogeneity and the good matching between the two polymers’ matrix components (i.e. The IEC values of pure PVC are very low, as expected due to the low level of ionized functional groups present in the membrane. The electronegativity of the membranes was enhanced by the amination process with imine due to the high electronegativity of amino groups.

Hard chromium electrodeposition from a trivalent chromium bath containing water-soluble polymer

tailieu.vn

An increase in average molecular weight of polymer results in improvement in the surface appearance of deposits.. It must be stressed that in the bath under study the rate of metal deposition is practically independent of the deposition time (Figure 3) and thick chromium coatings can be easily obtained. It is a very important advantage of the electroplating process proposed.. Figure 4 shows the surface morphology of the chromium deposits under study.

Unsymmetrical zinc phthalocyanines containing thiophene and amine groups as donor for bulk heterojunction solar cells

tailieu.vn

It is well known that the surface morphology of the blend film is also important for the photovoltaic performance of the phtalocyanine based bulk heterojunction solar cells. In order to clarify the effect of the surface morphology of the blend film on the photovoltaic performance, the surface morphology of the blend film was analyzed by atomic force microscopy..

Effect of Substrate Temperature on the Critical Current Density in the YBa2Cu3O7-x Superconducting Films

tailieu.vn

For the YBCO film deposited at T s = 720 o C, the surface could be seen to consist of two part. The rectangular shapes are then called as the a-axis grains. This surface formation is likely to be caused by the low surface temperature effect [7]. As a results, the a-axis grains are naturally generated. Meanwhile, there is no big changes in the surface morphology of the YBCO films deposited at T s = 740 and 760 o C.

Scanning electron micrograph of PHGM showing (A) general surface mor- phology and (B) size of the pores formed on the surface.. expected that the HF would uniformly etch the glass so that the shell would disappear but no large holes would be produced. How- ever, most of the microspheres were etched on the surface as shown in Fig. The uneven surface morphology on the etched borosilicate HGMs can be explained based on nucleation, growth, and spinodal decomposition mechanisms, respectively..

Post-annealing effect on the structural and optical properties of electrophoretically coated 2D-Layered MoSe2

tailieu.vn

Studies on the surface morphology of the EPC processed MoSe 2 showed signi fi cant changes due to the post-annealing treat- ment performed at 150 C, 250 C and 350 C in terms of morphology, flake-size distribution and compactness of the film. The samples annealed at 150 C and 250 C showed a better optical absorption in the visible and the near infrared spectral regions with dominant characteristic peaks at 691.2 nm and 801.6 nm.

Allylphenoxypiperidinium halides as corrosion inhibitors of carbon steel and biocides

tailieu.vn

To test the inhibitory properties of organic compounds, the morphology of the metal surface is important [8].. For this purpose, the surface morphology of steel in the absence and presence of inhibitors 4a-d after immersion for 5 h was studied. It was thus revealed that the surface was strongly damaged (Figure 7) in absence of the inhibitors 4a-d.. According to the experimental results of the antimicrobial activity of 4a-d against SRB, all the compounds showed bactericidal activity.

The inner TiO 2 films were fabricated at a pressure of 10 -3 Torr, in order to ensure that the film surface morphology is smooth and the anti-reflective properties are good, because of the high refractive index of the film. The outer TiO 2 films were fabricated at a pressure of 13x10 -3 Torr, in order to ensure that the film surface morphology is rough and the films have the required photo- catalytic properties [8].
